Cotton underwear, your specification

Made to your tech pack, fabric and colours by a factory matched to the order.

Private label

Your main label, care label, hangtag and polybag. Nominated trims accepted.

Men's and unisex cotton underwear comes in three shapes on a knit body: the brief, the trunk with a short leg and the boxer brief with a longer one. Buyers are basics brands, multipack programmes and gym or outdoor labels adding a cotton line. A cotton underwear manufacturer in Bangladesh usually knits combed cotton or cotton elastane in jersey or rib, sews a contoured pouch and tops it with an exposed or covered waistband.

Garments Hub BD writes your waistband, pouch and wash limits into one brief, so both quotes price the same garment. Factories are matched to the certificates your retailer asks for, often OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 on anything worn against skin. Inspection on this product opens finished multipacks as well as single pieces, and the photographs from every stage are yours.

Kinds of men's cotton underwear

Briefs

No leg, a full seat and a contoured pouch, in jersey or rib. The brief uses the least fabric of the three and usually opens a value pack or a classic white range.

Trunks

A short leg, usually 5 to 10 cm on the inside seam, and a lower rise. Cotton elastane keeps the leg from creeping up; a pure cotton trunk tends to bag by the end of the day.

Boxer briefs

A longer leg, typically 12 to 20 cm inside, for buyers whose customers are moving over from woven boxers. It needs the elastane, often 5 to 8 percent, to hold its shape wash after wash.

Rib knit styles

1x1 or 2x2 cotton rib for a heavier hand and a heritage look, often sold unisex with a matching vest. Rib stretches widthways without elastane; ask for washed measurements, because it relaxes differently from jersey.

How to brief a cotton underwear manufacturer in Bangladesh

Fabric and elastane share
State 100 percent combed cotton or a cotton elastane blend, usually 5 to 8 percent elastane, and a weight of typically 150 to 200 GSM. The elastane figure decides recovery at leg and pouch.
Waistband elastic
Exposed jacquard with your woven logo, or a covered band in self fabric, with the width, usually 25 to 45 mm. Send the logo artwork with the enquiry; the jacquard is woven before cutting.
Pouch and fly
Two or three piece pouch, single or double layer, and an opening fly or a mock fly. Each choice changes the pattern, the sewing minutes and the fit sample.
Leg finish
Briefs usually take covered elastic or a folded binding at the leg; trunks and boxer briefs take a twin needle hem, sometimes over a narrow gripper elastic. Name the finish per style.
Wash limits
A shrinkage limit in length and width, usually 3 to 5 percent, and a spirality limit for jersey, usually 5 percent at most, after the wash method you name.
Multipack form
Pack size, the colour assortment inside it and the pack itself: printed box, polybag with a header card, or a sleeve. The pack sets the carton size and where the barcode sits.

Tests and certificates for men's cotton underwear

ISO 16322
Spirality of knit after washing. On a boxer brief it shows as a side seam swinging towards the front; ask for it on bulk dyed fabric, not only on the lab dip.
ISO 5077 with ISO 6330
Dimensional change after a set wash and dry. It shows whether the pouch and leg measured at PP stage still measure the same after the first home wash.
ISO 105-E04
Grades perspiration fastness from 1 to 5 on the grey scale for navy, black and red underwear that sits against skin all day. Ask for the acid and alkaline results together.

What moves the price of men's cotton underwear

  • Yarn and blend: combed cotton elastane in a finer count costs more than carded 100 percent cotton.
  • A jacquard logo waistband, which carries its own loom set up and a minimum length per colour.
  • Pouch build: a three piece, double layer pouch with an opening fly adds operations to every piece.
  • Leg length, since a boxer brief takes noticeably more fabric than a brief in the same size.
  • Pack form and assortment: a printed box costs more than a polybag, and mixed colour packs need hand sorting.

Lead time for cotton underwear

Cotton underwear runs on the bench timing: samples usually 7 to 14 days, bulk typically 30 to 60 days after the PP sample is signed. A jacquard logo waistband adds days, because the elastic is woven to your artwork before cutting. In a mixed colour multipack the slowest dye lot sets the ship date. Every figure is confirmed in the quote.

What we check on cotton underwear before shipment

  • Waistband logo and joinThe jacquard logo sits where the spec puts it on every size, and the waistband join lies flat without a lump at the seam.
  • Pouch seamsPouch seams meet evenly at the crotch point and the double layer lies flat without puckering along the stitching.
  • Twist after washA washed boxer brief from bulk is checked for side seam twist and for leg hems that wave or crack open.
  • Multipack contentsPacks are opened against the ratio: colours, sizes and count correct, with the pack barcode, not the piece barcode, on the outside.

Questions buyers ask about cotton underwear

Pure cotton or cotton elastane for men's underwear?

Cotton elastane for trunks and boxer briefs, almost always: pure cotton breathes and costs less, but the leg and pouch lose shape during the day. Pure cotton still suits classic briefs and rib styles, where the cut and the rib do the stretching. State the blend on the enquiry so both quotes match.

Can the waistband carry our logo?

Yes, as an exposed jacquard elastic woven with your artwork, or printed on a covered band. Jacquard lasts longer, but the elastic mill sets a minimum length per colour and needs time before cutting. A printed band is quicker for a first order; the range can move to jacquard on the reorder.

Is an opening fly worth the cost on trunks?

For most fashion and gym ranges it is not: a mock fly or a plain contoured pouch sews faster and fits more consistently. Classic ranges still ask for an opening fly on briefs and boxer briefs. Decide before the proto sample, because the fly changes the pattern and the fabric consumption.

What shrinkage should we accept on cotton boxer briefs?

Most buyers allow 3 to 5 percent in length and width after the agreed wash, tested on bulk fabric. Pure cotton sits near the top of that band; heat set cotton elastane usually does better. Put the limit and the wash method in the tech pack so the PP sample is measured against them.
