Denim Overall Manufacturer in Bangladesh

Overalls are a bib, two straps and a pair of trousers, and every one of the three is a separate fit problem. The strap length decides comfort, the bib width decides how it photographs, and the rise decides whether anyone wears it twice. None of that is visible in a flat sketch, which is why this garment needs a fitted sample rather than a measurement sheet. Denim overall types we source

Denim Dungarees

Full length leg, bib front, adjustable straps with buckles or buttons, side openings at the waist. The volume shape and the one to price first.

Bib Overall

The same front with a straighter, looser leg and often a carpenter pocket and hammer loop. Reads as workwear and sells on the hardware.

Wide Leg Overall

Full through the leg from the hip, usually in a rigid or low stretch denim at 11 ounces and up so the leg hangs rather than clings.

Short Overall

Cut to a short leg, hemmed, turned up or raw. State the inseam and say whether a raw edge is intended, because a raw edge is a finish and not an omission.

Skirted Overall

Bib front over a skirt rather than trousers, which is a different block again. If you want both this and dungarees, that is two pattern sets and two samples.

Cropped Overall

Ankle or mid calf leg, often with a turn up. Inseam in centimetres belongs in the spec.

Workwear Overall

Heavier denim at 12 to 14 ounces, triple stitched inseam and seat, bar tacks at every stress point, reinforced knee. Priced above a fashion overall because of the extra sewing.

Kids Denim Overall

The same shapes scaled, with the childrenswear rules applied. Send the market and the age band so strap fastenings, studs and small parts are specified rather than discovered at inspection.

Cloth and hardware

Denim weight decides the character. Nine to eleven ounces for a soft fashion overall, eleven to fourteen for a structured or workwear one. One to two percent elastane makes a fitted shape wearable; above that it stops looking like denim. Send a swatch.

Hardware is half the garment on this style and it is where cheap orders give themselves away. Nominate, or let us quote two grades of:

• Strap buckles or button fastenings, and the strap width
• Side waist buttons or studs, and how many per side
• Rivets at the pocket corners
• Bar tacks at the strap join, the bib corners and the pocket corners
• Thread colour, which on denim is a design decision and not a detail

The strap join at the bib is the first thing to fail. Ask for a bar tack and a reinforcement patch behind it, and ask for a pull test on the sampled garment.

The wash

The laundry decides colour and hand, as it does on all denim. Rinse, enzyme, stone, bleach and ice washes, with hand or laser applied wear if you want it.

The two rules that save denim orders apply here too. Approve the wash on a full garment, because a wash behaves differently over the bib seam, the strap and the pocket bags. And agree a shade band rather than one shade, approving a light and a dark limit, because a wash varies and a buyer who approves a single exact shade will reject half of a correct shipment.

If jeans, a jacket or a dress in the same wash are part of the range, say so and the laundry runs them together.

Sizing and grading, which matters more here

An overall is graded on the torso as well as the leg, and that is what most specs miss. Send your size chart with the chest, waist, hip, front and back rise, bib width and height, strap length adjusted and unadjusted, thigh, knee, leg opening and inseam, plus your tolerance.

Two measurements decide whether it fits: the rise, because an overall with a short rise pulls the bib down and the crotch up, and the strap length range, because that is the only adjustment the wearer has. Grade both with the body.

Denim shrinks, so the chart has to be post wash and the pattern cut to the shrinkage. Ask the plant to confirm what shrinkage it is cutting to. We measure the pre production sample in the smallest size, the sample size and the largest size after washing and send you the numbers before bulk cutting starts. On this garment we also ask for a photograph of the sample worn or on a form, because a flat overall tells you nothing about the rise.

Quality control

Inline inspection while the line runs. Final inspection to AQL 2.5 unless your standard differs, with the photo report before the goods move. On an overall we check the wash against the agreed shade band, post wash measurements against the chart, strap join pull strength, buckle and stud function on every sampled garment, bar tacks at every stress point, rivet security, inseam and seat seam strength, and crocking.

Compliance differs by plant, and the laundry has its own footprint. The factories on our bench hold different combinations of BSCI, Sedex, WRAP, OEKO-TEX and GRS. Tell us what your buyer requires and we will only quote plants and laundries that already hold it, with the certificate attached to the quote.
