Chino Pants Manufacturer in Bangladesh

A chino is a simple garment that is easy to make badly. The twill is cheap, the pattern is familiar, and the two places it goes wrong are the shade and the fit through the seat. Both are cheap to control at sampling and expensive to argue about after shipment. This page covers the chinos we source, the twills the bench runs, and what to send us for a price in 48 hours.

Chino pants types we source

Classic Fit Chino

Straight through the thigh and leg, cotton twill at 240 to 280 GSM, four pocket, curtain waistband. The block to grade the rest from.

Slim Fit Chino

Tapered from the knee, usually with 2 percent elastane so it moves. Give us the knee and leg opening, not just the waist, because a slim chino is defined below the knee.

Stretch Chino

Cotton elastane twill, 240 to 300 GSM with 2 to 3 percent elastane. Ask for recovery as well as stretch or the seat goes shapeless.

Cropped Chino

Hemmed above the ankle, sometimes with a turn up. State the inseam in centimetres and say whether the turn up is stitched or loose.

Cargo Chino

Chino cloth with bellowed thigh pockets, cut cleaner than a workwear cargo. Priced above a four pocket for the extra panels and bar tacks.

Chino Shorts

The same cloth cut short, hemmed or turned up. Inseam belongs in the spec, and five inches and nine inches are different products.

Pleated Chino

One or two forward pleats at the waist, fuller through the thigh. The pleat has to be pressed and set, so ask how and at what temperature.

Garment Dyed Chino

Made in undyed cloth and dyed as a finished garment, which gives the soft hand and the slightly uneven colour that sells at a higher price. It also means the shade is set at the end, so the shade band matters as much as it does on denim.

Twill, weight and finish

Cotton twill is specified by weight, weave and yarn. A 2x1 twill is lighter and drapes. A 3x1 is firmer and wears longer. Peached or brushed twill has a soft surface at a small cost and it photographs better.

Weight decides the season. 200 to 240 GSM is a summer chino. 260 to 300 GSM is the year round weight. Above 320 GSM you are in workwear cloth, which is a different garment on a different page.

Mercerised or compact yarn gives a smoother face and better colour depth. If the range is built on colour, that upgrade is worth more than the cloth weight.

Shade, and the one thing to get right

Chinos sell in a narrow band of neutral colours, which means every competitor has almost the same stone, khaki and navy, and small differences are visible on a shelf. Send a physical reference, ask for a lab dip against it, and approve the lab dip under the light you will judge it in rather than on a screen.

For a garment dyed chino, agree a shade band rather than a single shade, because garment dyeing has natural variation and that variation is the point. Approve a light and a dark limit and inspect against those.

Waistband, pockets and the fit through the seat

The curtain waistband, a soft inner facing behind the waistband, is the detail that separates a chino that reads as made from one that reads as assembled. It costs little and a buyer can feel it.

Pockets: slanted or straight front, welt or patch back, and a coin pocket if you want it. Bar tack every pocket corner. The back pocket position and depth do more for the look of a chino than anything else, so send the measurements rather than a photo.

Fit through the seat and thigh is where returns come from. Send the thigh and seat measurements and grade them with the waist. A chino graded on waist alone gets tight in the seat at the top of the range, every time.

Sizing and grading

Send your size chart with the waist, seat, thigh, knee, leg opening, front and back rise and inseam, plus your tolerance. Tell us whether you sell in inch waist sizes or alpha sizes. If the cloth will be washed or garment dyed, the chart has to be post wash and the pattern cut to the shrinkage, and the plant should tell you what shrinkage it is cutting to.

We measure the pre production sample in the smallest size, the sample size and the largest size and send you the numbers before bulk cutting starts.

Quality control

Inline inspection while the line runs. Final inspection to AQL 2.5 unless your standard differs, with the photo report before the goods move. On chinos we check shade against the approved lab dip or shade band under a controlled light, post wash measurements against the chart, bar tacks at every pocket corner, waistband and curtain construction, zip and closure function on every sampled garment, seam strength at the inseam and seat, and shade continuity between dye lots and between panels cut from different rolls.

Compliance differs by plant. The factories on our bench hold different combinations of BSCI, Sedex, WRAP and OEKO-TEX. Tell us what your buyer requires and we will only quote plants that already hold it, with the certificate attached to the quote.
