Custom jute bags, your specification
Made to your tech pack, fabric and colours by a factory matched to the order.
Private label
Your main label, care label, hangtag and polybag. Nominated trims accepted.
A custom jute bag starts from your drawing or sample bag, not from a shape the factory already cuts. Brands use them as retail packaging, gift and wine bags, beach and travel totes, conference kits, or as products in their own right. A custom jute bag manufacturer in Bangladesh drafts a pattern for your size, adds the base, pockets, closures and lining you specify, and samples the new shape before bulk.
Garments Hub BD sends your drawing or sample bag to factories on its bench with every trim listed piece by piece, so each quote prices the same bag. Your pattern and tech pack are used for your order only and are not shown to another buyer, and sample costs are quoted together with the bag price.
Kinds of custom jute bag
Made to size totes
Your width, height and gusset instead of a stock size, often to fit a product, a shelf or a shipping box. A new pattern is cut, so the first sample shows whether the proportions work in stiff jute.
Bags with base boards
A card or rigid plastic board in the base keeps the bottom flat and the bag standing. Removable boards let the bag be cleaned; sewn in boards hold the shape better.
Zipped and lined bags
A zip top or inner zip pocket and a cotton or polyester lining turn a tote into a travel, beach or cosmetics bag. The lining also covers the rough inside face of the jute.
Wine and bottle bags
Narrow bags for one, two, four or six bottles, with stitched dividers or a stiffened base. Each is cut to the bottle, so give its diameter and height.
Jute and cotton canvas bags
A jute body with cotton canvas gussets, handles, pockets or trims, or a jute and cotton blend cloth throughout. The cotton parts give a softer edge and a smoother surface.
How to brief a custom jute bag manufacturer in Bangladesh
- Drawing or sample
- Send a drawing with every measurement, or a sample bag marked with what must change. Show gusset, handle position and pocket placement on the drawing.
- Cloth by panel
- Say which panels are hessian, cotton canvas or lining, with weights for each, since custom bags often mix cloths.
- Closures
- Choose a zip, magnetic snap, button and loop or drawstring, and give the zip type, length and pull.
- Pockets and inserts
- Mark the size and position of each pocket, inside or out, and any bottle dividers or phone and pen sleeves.
- Base and edge
- Give the base board material and whether it is removable, plus any piping or stiffener along the top edge.
- Labels and tags
- Specify woven or printed labels and their position, and the swing tag with its string and attachment point.
- Designs and quantities
- List each design with its quantity, since every new shape needs its own pattern and sample.
Tests for custom jute bags
- ISO 13936
- Seam slippage: how far yarns pull away from a seam in woven fabric. Open hessian slips easily at zip and pocket seams, so test any seam that holds a zip or a load.
- ISO 13937
- Tear strength. Useful where a custom bag has cut outs, handle slots or zip ends, which start tears in coarse jute.
- ISO 3801
- Mass per unit area of woven cloth. When a bag mixes hessian and cotton canvas, check each cloth against the spec, not only the finished bag weight.
What moves the price of a custom jute bag
- Pattern and sampling for a new shape, a one time cost spread over the order.
- Zips, magnetic snaps and other closures, plus the sewing to fit them.
- Linings and pockets, which add cloth and sewing steps to every bag.
- Base boards and top edge stiffeners cut to size for each bag.
- Mixed cloths: cotton canvas panels and trims cost more than an all hessian bag.
- Labels, swing tags and individual packing for retail.
Lead time for custom jute bags
A new custom jute bag shape usually samples in 7 to 14 days, with pattern making at the start; bags with zips, linings or bottle dividers sit at the long end and may need a second fit round. Bulk custom bags usually follow 30 to 60 days after pre-production approval. Imported zips or special base boards can add days, and the quote confirms the dates.
What we check on custom jute bags before shipment
- Zip and closure functionZips are run and snaps closed many times on sampled bags, and the seams around them checked for slippage.
- Pocket and divider positionPockets and dividers are measured against the drawing, since a few centimetres out stops a bottle or tablet fitting.
- Lining fitLinings are checked for twist, slack or pull, any of which makes a lined jute bag hang badly.
- Label and swing tagLabels and tags are checked for position, wording and secure attachment against the approved sample bag.
Questions buyers ask about custom jute bags
Can I order a jute bag in a size no factory stocks?
Yes. The factory drafts a new pattern from your drawing or sample, and the proto shows whether it works. Expect to adjust the proportions once: jute is stiff, and a shape that looks right on paper can sag or gape when it is made up.
Which closures work well on jute?
Zips, magnetic snaps, button and loop, and drawstrings all work. A zip needs its tape stitched to a facing or a firm panel, since open hessian lets it pull away. A magnetic snap needs a backing washer inside to spread the load on coarse jute.
Can jute be combined with cotton canvas in one bag?
Yes, and it is a frequent request. Cotton canvas for gussets, handles, pockets or trims gives a softer edge and a smooth surface, while the jute body keeps the natural look. Give the canvas weight and colour, and wash test a sample, since the two cloths shrink differently.
Can I add my own labels and swing tags?
Yes. Woven labels sew into a seam or onto a cotton patch, as they sit poorly on open hessian. Send the label artwork and swing tag design with the drawing so both are sampled with the bag.
