Dungarees, as the UK says, or bib overalls, as the US says, are the same garment: a full length trouser with a bib front, two straps over the shoulders and openings at the sides of the waist. It is the classic overall block and the shape most overall ranges are built from. A denim dungarees manufacturer in Bangladesh has to fit three linked measurements at once: strap length, bib size and rise.

Kinds of denim dungarees
Classic straight leg dungarees
A straight leg, a bib with a patch pocket, straps on clasps and sliders, and two buttons at each side opening. The volume shape, and the one to cost first.
Carpenter bib overalls
A looser leg with a carpenter pocket on the thigh, a hammer loop and often a rule pocket. Workwear detail at fashion weight; it sells on its hardware and pockets.
Slim leg dungarees
A tapered leg in 10 to 11 oz denim with 1 to 2 percent elastane, cut closer at seat and thigh. The rise is less forgiving here than in a loose cut.
Button strap dungarees
Straps end in buttonholes that close on two bib buttons each, with no clasps. A cleaner front and cheaper hardware, with adjustment set by the buttonhole spacing.
Relaxed dungarees
A dropped crotch, wide thigh and rolled hem, worn loose. It needs a longer torso and more strap travel so the bib does not sit too low on the chest.
How to brief a denim dungarees manufacturer in Bangladesh
- Strap length and range
- Length from the back anchor to the clasp, unadjusted and fully adjusted. Usually 8 to 12 cm of slider travel covers the wearers within one size.
- Bib width and height
- Width at the top edge and height from the waist seam, graded with the size so the bib keeps its proportion on every wearer.
- Rise and torso
- Front and back rise, plus the torso length from the shoulder over the strap to the crotch. A short torso pulls the bib down and the crotch up.
- Side openings
- Opening length and button count, usually two a side, and whether the waist has a placket or a simple faced slit.

- Dimensional change in washing. Length shrinkage shortens the torso as well as the leg; 3 percent off a torso of about 70 cm is 2 cm of pull at the crotch.

- Nickel release from bib buttons, side buttons and rivet backs touching the body, at no more than 0.5 micrograms per square centimetre per week.
What moves the price of denim dungarees

Questions buyers ask about denim dungarees
Are dungarees and bib overalls the same product?
Yes. Dungarees is the British name and bib overalls the American one for the same full length bib garment; many US shoppers also say overalls on its own. The tech pack can use either, while the listing should use the name your market searches for.
Why does the dungarees fit sample need to be seen worn?
Because rise and strap length only show on a body. Flat, a sample with a short torso measures fine; worn, the bib drops and the crotch pulls up. Ask for front, side and back photographs on a form or fit model before approving.
Clasps or buttons on dungarees straps?
Clasps on sliders give the widest adjustment and the classic look, at a higher hardware cost. Buttonholes on bib buttons are cheaper and cleaner but adjust only by hole spacing. Either way, the back strap anchor needs a bar tack and a patch.
How much strap adjustment should dungarees have?
Usually 8 to 12 cm of slider travel, or two to three button positions, which covers different torso lengths within one size. More travel leaves a longer strap tail hanging at the front, which some styles turn into a feature.
