Fleece joggers with rib cuffs
Brushed back fleece, usually 280 to 340 GSM, with a rib cuff at the ankle and side seam pockets. The streetwear staple, and the style most often ordered with a matching hoodie.
Open hem sweatpants
Straight or relaxed legs in fleece or French terry with a coverstitched hem and no cuff. Choose them for loungewear, where the leg should fall straight onto the shoe.
Tricot track pants
Polyester tricot, a warp knit with a smooth face, tapered, with ankle zips and a taped stripe on the side seam. Choose them for clubs, schools and retro sports ranges.
Woven nylon track pants
A light woven nylon or polyester shell with a mesh or jersey lining and elastic or toggle hems. Choose them for running and outdoor ranges that need wind resistance and quick drying.
Tech joggers
Smooth double knit or polyester elastane interlock, slim through the leg, with zip pockets and bonded details. Choose them for a commuter or travel range that wants a cleaner look than fleece.
How to specify joggers and track pants
- Waistband build
- Elastic width, usually 3 to 5 cm, in a channel or exposed, and the drawcord: outer through eyelets or buttonholes, or inner and hidden. Flat or round cord, with tipped ends.
- Cuff rib and recovery
- Rib structure, usually 1x1 or 2x2 with some elastane, cuff height and relaxed opening. The cuff has to pass over the heel and still grip the ankle after wear.
- Leg shape
- Thigh, knee and leg opening as well as inseam, because the taper is set by the knee and the opening, not by the name of the fit.
- Pockets and pocket bags
- Side seam, slant or zip pockets, any back pocket, and the pocket bag cloth: self fleece, jersey or mesh. Deep bags stop a phone sliding out when seated.
- Stripes and panels
- Taped stripes, piping or contrast panels, and where they must meet at the waistband, pocket mouth and hem, including whether the stripe runs through the cuff.
- Set with a hoodie

- ISO 5077
- Length shrinkage on a cotton rich fleece jogger matters more than width, because a shorter leg lifts the cuff above the ankle. Ask for both directions through ISO 6330 wash cycles.
- ISO 105-C06
- Colour fastness to washing, including staining onto adjacent fabric. On a navy pant with a white side stripe, the staining grade shows whether the stripe stays white.
What moves the price of joggers and track pants
- Fleece weight and cotton share set most of the fabric cost.
- Side tapes, piping and contrast panels add cutting and sewing steps.

Lead time for joggers and track pants
Fleece is knitted, dyed and brushed before cutting, and rib is dyed to match it, so a custom colour may add a lab dip round before the first jogger sample. Sampling then fits the usual 7 to 14 days, and bulk typically runs 30 to 60 days after PP approval. A jogger and hoodie set ships when the slower piece is ready. Both quotes state their dates.

Questions buyers ask about joggers and track pants
Fleece or French terry for joggers?
Brushed fleece is warmer and softer inside and suits autumn and winter. French terry has loops inside, breathes better and suits spring and warm markets. Terry is often lighter, typically 240 to 300 GSM, so it drapes more, while fleece holds a heavier, more structured leg.
Can joggers be ordered with matching hoodies?
Yes, and they should be planned together. Send both styles in one enquiry, name the shared colours, and ask for fleece and rib from one lot. Each style still carries its own minimum per colour, and the set ships when the slower piece is finished.
How do you stop a white side stripe picking up colour?
Choose a body fabric with a good staining grade under ISO 105-C06, use a stripe tape that is colourfast itself, and ask for a wash test on a made up sample before bulk. A care label saying wash cold and inside out helps keep the contrast.
Should the jogger drawcord be inside or outside?
An outer drawcord through eyelets is the classic look and easy to adjust. An inner drawcord, tied inside the waistband, gives a cleaner front and suits tech joggers. Children's sizes need a different answer, because EN 14682 restricts cords at the waist on children's clothing in the EU.
