Sports T-shirts, your specification

Made to your tech pack, fabric and colours by a factory matched to the order.

Private label

Your main label, care label, hangtag and polybag. Nominated trims accepted.

A sports T-shirt is a training garment first and a tee second: polyester or polyester elastane interlock, mesh where the body runs hot, raglan sleeves and seams that lie flat through an hour of running or lifting. Gyms, running clubs, schools and activewear labels buy it for training, warm ups and events, and training t-shirts are the same product. A sports T-shirt manufacturer in Bangladesh prices it on fabric, seam type and finish, so all three belong in the enquiry.

Garments Hub BD sets the two factory answers side by side for this tee: the interlock or mesh each proposes, its weight, the seam machine and any finish, so a cheaper quote cannot hide an overlocked seam. Training tee factories are matched to the certificates your buyer names, OEKO-TEX or BSCI for example.

Kinds of sports T-shirt

Raglan training tee

Raglan sleeves run from the collar to the underarm, so no shoulder seam sits under a bag strap or a barbell. It is the default gym and running tee, usually in plain polyester interlock.

Mesh panel tee

An interlock body with birdseye or honeycomb mesh at the back yoke, under the arms or down the sides. Choose it for hot climates and indoor halls; the mesh is a separate cut piece, so its shade is approved against the body.

Fitted polyester elastane tee

Polyester with elastane, typically 5 to 10 percent, cut close to the body for strength training and studio classes. It recovers its shape between sessions, but customers used to regular tees need a clear size chart.

Reflective running tee

A light interlock or mesh tee with reflective heat transfer pieces at the back, shoulders or hem, for road runners after dark. The reflective film has to survive the same washes as the garment around it.

How to specify a sports T-shirt

Fabric and weight
Name the construction, interlock, single jersey or mesh, the weight, usually 140 to 180 GSM, and the fibre split, such as all polyester or polyester with elastane.
Seams
Flatlock seams lie flat on both faces and do not chafe; overlock is cheaper but leaves a ridge inside. Mark on the sketch which seams must be flatlock.
Mesh panels
Show each mesh panel on the sketch with its position and mesh type, and say whether it matches the body shade or contrasts with it.
Wicking and quick dry
If the hangtag will claim either, put the test and the pass level in the tech pack, so the factory picks a fabric that meets it rather than one that only promises it.
Odour control finish
This is a chemical applied to the fabric. Ask which agent is used, how many washes it is meant to last, and for its safety data sheet before the claim goes on a label.
Names and numbers
For a squad order, send one spreadsheet with each player's name, number and size, plus the font and the height of both.

Tests to ask a sports T-shirt manufacturer in Bangladesh for

AATCC 197
Vertical wicking: how far and how fast water climbs a strip of the fabric. It is the basic evidence behind a wicking claim; ask for results before and after washing.
AATCC 195
Moisture management: how sweat moves from the skin side to the outer face and spreads. Use it when the tee is sold on keeping the wearer dry, not only on wicking.
ISO 105-E04
A training tee is worn soaked in sweat for an hour at a time, so ask for its perspiration fastness grade, 1 to 5 on the grey scales, on bright and dark shades.
ZDHC MRSL
Chemicals barred from intentional use in the factory. Ask that wicking and odour finishes come from chemical suppliers who conform to it; it is a factory list, not a garment test.

What moves the price of a sports T-shirt

  • Fibre and stretch: polyester elastane costs more per kilo than plain polyester, and fitted styles need it.
  • Flatlock seams: the machine runs slower and uses more thread than an overlock.
  • Mesh panels: each one is an extra cut piece, an extra seam and sometimes a separate shade to match.
  • Finishes: wicking and odour control are separate processes with their own chemical cost.
  • Reflective trims and personalisation: both are applied one tee at a time and priced per piece.

Lead time for sports T-shirts

A plain training tee in a stocked polyester usually reaches its sample early in the 7 to 14 day window, and its bulk takes 30 to 60 days once the PP sample is signed. A fabric knitted to order, a wicking or odour finish, or a lab test behind a hangtag claim each add days, and a squad order adds the time to proof every name. The quote confirms the dates.

What we check on sports T-shirts before shipment

  • Flatlock coverageThe tee is turned inside out to see the flatlock covers every raw edge, with no gap where seams cross at the underarm.
  • Mesh panel setMesh panels sit level on both sides and do not pucker where the stretchier mesh joins the interlock.
  • Reflective trim bondReflective pieces on washed samples are flexed and lifted at a corner to check they stay bonded at the edges.
  • Names against the listEach personalised tee is read against the squad list for spelling, number and size before it is folded.

Questions buyers ask about sports T-shirts

Can a club order carry a different name and number on every tee?

Yes. Sublimation on white or light polyester, or heat transfer on darker shades, lets each tee carry its own name and number. Personalisation does not create a new colourway, so one design in one colour can carry every name in the squad.

Can we print wicking or quick dry on the hangtag?

Only with a test report behind it. Ask for AATCC 197 or AATCC 195 results on the bulk fabric, before and after washing, and print only what the report supports. A finish that wicks when new and fades after a few washes turns into returns.

Should a training tee be polyester or poly cotton?

Polyester or polyester elastane for anything sold on performance, because it dries faster and holds its shape when wet. Poly cotton feels softer and suits a club tee worn more for warm ups than hard sessions, but it holds sweat longer and cannot take full sublimation.

Does every seam on a training tee need to be flatlock?

Not always. Sides and armholes matter most, as they move against the skin. On a raglan the shoulder seam disappears, and the neck and hem can be coverstitched. Flatlocking everything adds cost, so keep it for fitted styles and long sessions.
