Football jerseys, your specification

Made to your tech pack, fabric and colours by a factory matched to the order.

A football jersey is a polyester shirt that carries a whole design: body graphics, a crest, sponsor marks, a number on the back and often a name above it. Interlock or mesh at 140 to 160 GSM stays light when soaked, and sublimation dyes the design into the fibre so nothing can peel. Clubs, academies, schools and tournament organisers order by the squad. A football jersey manufacturer in Bangladesh is judged on whether the print lines up from the smallest size to the largest.

Garments Hub BD sends your artwork and the squad list to both factories together, so each price covers the same personalisation and the same number of print files. At final inspection, packed shirts drawn for the sample are read against that list for names, numbers and sizes, and you receive the photographs.

Kinds of football jersey

Full sublimation match jersey

Every panel is printed edge to edge before sewing, so stripes, gradients and sponsor marks can sit anywhere on the shirt. Choose it for match kits with detailed art; it needs white or light polyester as the base cloth.

Mesh back jersey

An interlock front with a birdseye or dimple mesh back, or mesh under the arms, to shed heat in summer seasons and hot climates. The mesh sublimates too, though fine detail softens slightly over the holes.

Goalkeeper jersey

Usually long sleeved, in a colour that stands apart from both outfield kits, sometimes with padded elbows. It shares the artwork template but runs as its own colourway.

Piece dyed dark jersey

Navy or black polyester dyed in the fabric, with names, numbers and crest heat applied afterwards. Choose it for a deep solid dark; sublimated darks can show white base cloth where the knit stretches at seams.

What to send a football jersey manufacturer in Bangladesh

Base cloth
Interlock or mesh, the weight, usually 140 to 160 GSM, and all polyester content, because sublimation dye bonds only with polyester and looks washed out on blends.
Artwork per pattern piece
Vector art laid out on the front, back and sleeves, with a colour reference for every shade. Mark which elements keep one size on every shirt, such as the crest, and which scale with the size.
Squad list
One spreadsheet row per player: name as it should print, number and size, plus the font, the letter height and the number heights for back and front.
Collar
V neck, crew neck or a short collar with placket, in self fabric or knitted rib. A rib collar is usually dyed to match rather than printed, so it needs its own shade approval.
Sleeves and panels
Set in or raglan sleeves and the position of any mesh panel. Raglan seams cut across the shoulder art, which has to be laid out to cross them cleanly.
Crest and sponsor method
Sublimated with the body, heat applied, or an embroidered badge sewn on. Each method other than sublimation is a separate step with its own approval.

Tests and certificates for football jerseys

ISO 105-C06
On sublimated polyester the wash risk is dye moving from dark panels into white ones, so ask for the staining grade onto white, not only the shade change.
ISO 105-E04
A jersey stays soaked through a full match, so test bright reds, blues and yellows for perspiration fastness as well as for washing.
ISO 105-X12
Heavily printed dark areas can mark a lighter shirt in a tackle or a kit bag; for match kit, the wet rubbing grade is the one to read.
ISO 13938
Mesh is the weak point of a jersey, so ask for a bursting strength result on the mesh panel itself.

What moves the price of a football jersey

  • Base cloth: lighter, faster drying knits and fancy meshes cost more per kilo than plain interlock.
  • Printed area: sublimation cost follows ink and paper coverage, not the number of colours in the art.
  • Collar build: a knitted rib collar is a bought in piece; a self fabric collar is cut from the body cloth.
  • Personalisation: each name and number means file preparation and a second check per shirt.
  • Crest method: a stitched badge or heat applied crest adds a step and a trim cost over a printed one.

Lead time for football jerseys

Sublimated kits add a step ahead of bulk: after the colour proof, the artwork is printed on the real fabric for approval. Expect the jersey sample within 7 to 14 days and kit bulk 30 to 60 days after the signed PP sample. A late change to the squad list or a new sponsor mark means new print files. Give your first fixture date in the enquiry so the quote can show whether it can be met.

What we check on football jerseys before shipment

  • Print register at seamsStripes and graphics meet across side seams, shoulders and sleeve joins, checked on the smallest and largest sizes where misalignment shows first.
  • Squad list matchNames, numbers and sizes on packed shirts are read against the squad list, because one wrong letter means a reprint for that player.
  • Mesh snags and holesMesh panels are held to the light for pulled loops, holes and needle damage along the seam joining mesh to interlock.
  • Panel shadePanels printed at different times are compared in daylight, since a back a shade off the front is plain to see on the pitch.

Questions buyers ask about football jerseys

Can every shirt in one order carry a different name and number?

Yes. With sublimation the names and numbers are part of each shirt's print file, so personalising every shirt costs file work rather than a new set up. Send one list with each player's size. Several squads can share one design and colourway, which also helps the order clear the minimum.

Can a dark football jersey have white numbers?

Yes, in two ways. Sublimate the whole design on white cloth and leave the numbers unprinted, so they show as the white base, or dye the fabric dark and heat apply white numbers. The first costs less per shirt; the second gives a deeper, more even dark.

How are sizes split across a squad?

By the list. A senior squad usually spreads from small to extra large, and an academy adds junior sizes. Each size is its own print layout, so send the full size breakdown with the enquiry, and the quote will reflect how many sizes the order spans.

Will a sublimated jersey fade?

It will not crack or peel, because the dye sits inside the fibre. It can lose depth if washed hot or tumble dried on high heat, and dark dye can migrate into white areas. Ask for ISO 105-C06 results on the bulk cloth and print a cool wash on the care label.
