A seamless panty, in this sense, is cut from smooth nylon elastane or microfibre and finished with bonded or laser cut edges instead of elastic and stitching. The sales claim is no visible line under fitted clothes. Buyers are lingerie brands, online intimates labels and retailers adding a smooth line beside cotton packs. Kinds of seamless panty
Laser cut raw edge
The edge cut by laser or ultrasonic blade and left raw, which works only on warp knit microfibre that does not run. The thinnest edge of the four.
Bonded folded edge
The edge folded and bonded with an adhesive film, sometimes over a thin elastic. It holds its shape better than a raw edge and is the common build.
Bonded edge with silicone
A bonded edge with a silicone strip inside to stop it moving, used on seamless hipsters and high rise styles.
Bonded gusset
The gusset bonded in rather than sewn, so no stitch shows from outside. The gusset bond takes the most washing stress, so it is the one to test.
How to brief a seamless panty manufacturer in Bangladesh
- Fabric
- Warp knit microfibre or nylon elastane, with weight and elastane share. Ask whether the fabric can be laser cut without running.
- Edge method per position
- Laser cut, bonded fold or bonded over elastic, given separately for waist, leg and gusset. Each needs its own film and machine setting.
- Film
- Film type and width, and whether any of it may show at the edge. Film that is too wide stiffens the edge.
- Bond durability
- The number of washes the bond must survive and the wash method, so the PP sample can be tested against them.
- Edge curl
- Tolerance for edges rolling after wear and washing. Laser cut edges on lighter fabrics curl more; a heavier fabric or a fold reduces it.
- Equipment
- Ask which bonding presses and cutters the plant runs, and whether it bonds in its own building or sends the work out.
Tests for seamless panties
- ISO 5077 with ISO 6330
- Measures shrinkage after a set wash and dry, and the same washed pieces show whether bonded edges are lifting. A failing bond tends to show within the first few cycles.
- OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100
- Covers the finished article, adhesive film included. Bonding films sit against skin at every edge of a seamless panty, so the certificate must name them.
- ZDHC MRSL
- A list of chemicals banned from intentional use in the plant, not a product test. Ask whether the film and adhesive suppliers work to it.

Lead time for seamless panties
Seamless panties sample in 7 to 14 days and run to bulk typically 30 to 60 days after PP approval. Bonding capacity is narrower than sewing capacity, so large orders tend towards the upper end. Film in a custom colour adds days, and washing the PP sample to check the bond adds a few more before approval. The quote confirms the dates.

Questions buyers ask about seamless panties
Will bonded edges come apart in the wash?
Well made bonds survive normal home washing, but weak ones show within a few washes, usually as lifting at the leg curve. Set the number of washes in the spec, test a washed PP sample, and keep the care label to a gentle wash with no tumble drying.
Why does a seamless panty cost more than a sewn one?
Bonding film, slower press time, laser cutting and a higher reject rate all add cost, and warp knit microfibre costs more than cotton jersey. The saving on elastic and thread does not cover it, so expect it to price above a sewn microfibre panty.
Which fabrics can be laser cut without a hem?
Warp knit microfibre and some nylon elastane knits that do not run or fray when cut. Cotton jersey and most circular knits curl or run at a raw edge, so they need a folded bond. Ask for a cut edge swatch on your exact fabric.
Is a bonded panty the same as circular knit seamless?
No. A seamless panty here is cut from fabric and bonded at the edges. Circular knit seamless is knitted as a tube on a different machine and is covered on the seamless underwear page. Both sell as seamless, but they need different plants.
