A bed linen set is several pieces sold as one: a duvet cover with pillowcases, or a flat sheet, a fitted sheet and pillowcases, in one bag with one card and one barcode. The customer is buying a matched look, so the pieces must share a shade, a print position and a size logic. A bed linen set manufacturer in Bangladesh plans the order by set, not by piece. Buyers are retailers, online stores and supermarket home ranges.
The desk looks for a unit that can cut every piece of a colour from one dye lot and runs its own packing table, then takes in your set contents, size ratio and packaging artwork. At final inspection sampled sets are opened and counted against the card, piece by piece.
Kinds of bed linen set
Duvet cover sets
A duvet cover with one pillowcase for a single and two for a double or king, common in the UK and EU. Choose it where customers buy their sheets separately.
Sheet sets
A flat sheet, a fitted sheet and two pillowcases, common in the US, sized to the mattress. Choose it for US retail, and print the pocket depth on the card.
Complete bed sets
Duvet cover, fitted sheet and pillowcases in one pack, sometimes with a flat sheet. Choose it for gift and online ranges; four pieces mean four cutting plans in one shade.
Bed in a bag sets
Sheets and a cover packed with a filled comforter or quilt. The filled piece needs a quilting unit as well as a sheeting one, so one pack has two sources.
Print and plain coordinated sets
A printed cover with plain sheets dyed to a colour taken from the print. Choose it for a styled range; the plain needs a lab dip matched to the print itself.
How to specify a bed linen set
- Set contents
- Every piece in each set and size: a double duvet set may hold one cover and two cases, a single one cover and one case, with each piece's size by market.
- Size ratio
- The split of sets across single, double and king decides the cutting plan for every piece and the carton mix.
- Shade rule
- Every piece of a set from one dye lot, or lots sorted into shade bands and each set packed from one band.
- Bag and card
- PVC, cloth or polybag; the insert card size and print; where the barcode sits; and whether a photo card shows the set made up.
- Fold sizes
- Each piece folded to fill the card, cover in front and cases behind, so the pack sits square on a shelf.
- Carton
- Sets per carton, carton size and weight limit, and single size or mixed cartons, which set the shipping marks.
Tests and certificates for bed linen sets
- ISO 105-C06
- Wash fastness for each piece type in the set, because a cover and a sheet dyed in separate lots can drift apart in colour after a few washes.
- GOTS
- An organic claim on a set pack covers every piece in it. Organic grade needs at least 95 percent certified organic fibre, made with organic at least 70 percent, with chain of custody to the packer.
- ISO 2859-1
- The AQL sampling tables. For sets, agree whether the unit of inspection is the whole set or each piece, because one faulty case fails the set it sits in.
What moves the price at a bed linen set manufacturer in Bangladesh
- Pieces per set: each added piece brings its own cloth, cutting and sewing into one price.
- Packaging: a zipped PVC or cloth bag with a printed card costs more than a polybag with a paper band.
- Shade control: holding every piece to one dye lot limits how cloth is bought and cut.
- Size ratio: a ratio heavy in king sizes needs more wide sheeting and cuts less efficiently.
- Mixed cartons: packing several sizes per carton takes more handling than single size cartons.
Lead time for bed linen sets
A first set sample usually takes 10 to 14 days, and bulk usually 45 to 60 days after the PP set is approved with every piece in it. Printed cards, zipped bags and inserts come from outside suppliers and need artwork signed early, or packing waits for them. A plain dyed to match a print adds lab dip rounds. Final dates come in the quote.
What we check on bed linen sets before shipment
- Set contentsSampled packs are opened and counted against the insert card, piece by piece and size by size.
- Shade across the setCover, sheets and cases from one pack are laid together under a light box and compared for shade.
- Card and barcodeThe card, size sticker and barcode are checked against the pack contents and the carton marks.
- Carton mixCartons are opened to confirm the size mix and set count, and weighed against the packing list.
Questions buyers ask about bed linen sets
What should a double duvet set contain?
In the UK and EU, usually one duvet cover and two pillowcases, with sheets sold apart. In the US, sheet sets of a flat sheet, a fitted sheet and two cases are more common. Your customers' habit decides, so list contents per size on the enquiry.
How is the shade kept the same across a set?
By planning it. Every piece of a colour is cut from one dye lot where possible, or lots are sorted into shade bands and each set packed from one band. Pieces from different cloths need lab dips approved against one standard.
Is a set priced per piece or per set?
Usually per set, with packaging included. Ask for a per piece breakdown alongside it, which shows what each item costs on its own and helps when you price open stock pieces next to the set.
Can I sell the pieces of a set separately too?
Yes, many ranges sell open stock alongside sets. Plan it at the order: open stock pieces need their own labels, packs and barcodes, and their quantities go into the same cutting plan so the shade stays the same across both.
