A soft 1x1 rib in cotton elastane with a turned cuff at the ankle and room over a nappy at the seat. Sized in months and years for the youngest wearers.
School age everyday leggings
Cotton elastane single jersey for ages four and up, in solid colours to match school and play ranges. Knees take the wear, so the weight sits at the upper end.
Printed kids leggings
All over prints, screen printed motifs or glitter details. Prints and coatings are what US lead testing falls on, so each print is tested, not only the fabric.
Multipacks
Two or three pairs in coordinated colours or prints, packed together under one barcode. The ratio per pack and per carton is fixed before cutting.
Frill and trim leggings
A frill at the ankle, a lace edge or a bow at the waist. Every trim must be firmly attached, and in the US any metal or coated part falls under the lead limit.
What to tell a kids leggings manufacturer in Bangladesh
- Age band and market
- Ages, sizes and the countries you sell in. These decide whether US children's product rules, EU cord rules or both apply, and which labels are sewn in.
- Fabric and weight
- Cotton elastane, usually 180 to 220 GSM, with the elastane share stated. Toddler sizes often use rib; older sizes use single jersey.

Questions buyers ask about kids leggings
Do kids leggings need lab testing for the US market?
Yes, if they are for ages 12 and under. They need a Children's Product Certificate based on third party tests at a CPSC accepted lab, plus a tracking label. Plain dyed fabric is determined not to exceed the lead limit, so testing falls on prints, coatings and metal trims.
Can kids leggings have a drawstring waist?
Avoid it. EN 14682 restricts cords and drawstrings on children's clothing sold in the EU, and a flat elastic band does the job without the risk. A fully enclosed elastic waistband with no cord is the usual build on kids leggings.
Do kids leggings need flammability testing?
In the US, clothing textiles fall under 16 CFR 1610. Leggings sold or marketed as children's sleepwear fall under the stricter 16 CFR 1615 (sizes 0 to 6X) or 16 CFR 1616 (sizes 7 to 14), unless the pair meets the tight fitting exemption in those rules. Keep leggings out of sleepwear ranges unless the fabric is tested to them or the pattern is checked against the exemption.
Can I order kids leggings in multipacks of mixed colours?
