Security and tactical uniforms, your specification

Made to your tech pack, fabric and colours by a factory matched to the order.

Private label

Your main label, care label, hangtag and polybag. Nominated trims accepted.

Security and tactical uniforms are bought as programmes rather than styles: a shirt, a trouser, a jacket and sometimes a hi-vis layer, issued to every guard and reissued as staff change. The pieces must match each other in shade and match last year's delivery in size. A security and tactical uniform manufacturer in Bangladesh wins repeat orders on that consistency more than on any one garment.

Garments Hub BD sends the whole kit, shirts, trousers and jackets, to factories that sew woven uniforms and can hold one shade across several fabrics. Ask for a sealed sample in each size from the first approved bulk; inline inspection on every reorder measures against those samples, and the photographs are yours. Mark on the quote form which items carry a hi-vis claim.

Kinds of security and tactical uniform

Epaulette guard shirt

Long or short sleeve poly cotton shirt with shoulder epaulettes, two flap chest pockets, a badge tab above one pocket, pen slots and a radio loop at the shoulder. Worn every shift, so it is the largest line in most programmes.

Duty and knee pad trousers

Poly cotton ripstop or twill trousers with wide loops for a duty belt, cargo pockets and, on tactical versions, knee pad pockets. A reinforced seat and knees take kneeling, climbing and hours in vehicles.

Patrol jacket

A softshell or lined work jacket in the programme shade, with epaulettes, a badge tab, reflective piping and a zip out lining for winter posts. The piping helps a guard be seen; it is not a hi-vis certification.

Hi-vis layer

A fluorescent vest or jacket for guards on roads, car parks and loading bays, built to EN ISO 20471 for the EU or ANSI/ISEA 107 for the US, tested at an accredited laboratory and certified for that design, never on the factory's own word.

Solid shade and camo versions

Navy, black and khaki programme shades, or a printed camouflage for tactical ranges, sewn from the same patterns in the same plants. Camo adds a print stage and placement; solids need a tighter shade tolerance.

How to specify a security uniform programme

One shade across fabrics
Shirt poplin, trouser ripstop and jacket shell take dye differently, so give one physical colour standard and approve each fabric's lab dip against it, not against each other.
Insignia and badges
Shoulder patches, badge tabs, name tapes and back lettering, each with size, method and a position measured from a fixed seam.
Duty belt loops
Loop width to suit the duty belt, usually made for a belt of around 50 mm, with bar tacks top and bottom and a loop at centre back.
Fabric and weight
Shirts usually poly cotton poplin or twill at about 120 to 180 GSM; trousers poly cotton ripstop or twill at about 200 to 260 GSM. Heavier trousers last longer but wear hot on summer posts.
Size chart and sealed samples
A graded chart with tolerances, and a sealed sample per size from the first approved bulk, with every reorder measured against both.
Reflective trim
Decorative reflective piping, or certified retro reflective tape on a hi-vis item. Say which, because only the certified route supports a visibility claim.

Standards for a security and tactical uniform manufacturer in Bangladesh

EN ISO 20471
High visibility clothing for the EU, by class. A guard's hi-vis vest or jacket is tested and certified through an accredited body as a finished design; the sewing factory cannot certify it.
ANSI/ISEA 107
High visibility garments for the US. Fabric and tape are tested at an accredited laboratory and the maker signs a declaration of conformity for that exact design naming the reports; ask for both, since a factory's word alone supports no claim.
ISO 105-B02
Light fastness, rated on the 1 to 8 blue wool scale. Navy and black uniforms on outdoor posts fade at the shoulders first, so set a minimum rating for each programme shade.
ISO 15797
Industrial laundering procedures for workwear. Where uniforms go to a contract laundry, test shade and size after the agreed number of cycles.

What moves the price of a security uniform

  • Insignia count: every embroidered patch, badge tab, name tape and back print adds a step.
  • Certified hi-vis fabric, tape and garment testing on the items that carry the claim.
  • Matching one shade standard across three or more fabrics, with a lab dip on each.
  • Camouflage printing, with a screen per colour and placement across panels.
  • Pockets, epaulettes, radio loops and knee pad pockets, each adding operations per piece.

Lead time for security and tactical uniforms

Programme samples usually take 7 to 14 days per garment, and a first order often runs longer because each fabric needs a lab dip against the shade standard. Bulk usually runs 30 to 60 days after written PP approval. Certified hi-vis items wait on the accredited test and camo adds screen making; reorders skip most sampling. The quote sets out the dates.

What we check on security and tactical uniforms before shipment

  • Shade across the kitShirt, trouser and jacket from bulk compared side by side in daylight, against the standard and a retained piece from the last order.
  • Insignia positionPatches, badge tabs and name tapes measured from their reference seams on every size, so a line of guards looks uniform.
  • Loops sized for the duty beltLoop width checked against the belt it must carry, and the bar tacks at each end pulled by hand.
  • Size against sealed samplesEach sampled size measured against its sealed sample and the chart, so a reorder fits the guards issued earlier.

Questions buyers ask about security and tactical uniforms

Can shirts, trousers and jackets be matched to one shade?

Yes, within a tolerance. Each fabric takes dye differently, so one physical standard sets the shade and every fabric's lab dip is approved against it. Check the kit together in daylight and under indoor light, since a navy shirt and trouser that match inside can part ways outdoors.

When does a security uniform need EN ISO 20471?

When guards work where vehicles move, such as roads, car parks and loading bays, and the client or the site rules call for high visibility. The item must then be a certified hi-vis garment, tested and certified through an accredited body. Reflective piping on a patrol jacket does not make it one.

How are sizes kept the same on reorders?

Approve a sealed sample in each size from the first bulk and keep the graded chart with its tolerances. Each reorder is measured against both at inline inspection, and fabric is reordered in the same quality. A change of factory or fabric calls for a fresh fit check before bulk.

Can each guard's name go on the uniform?

Yes, as embroidered name tapes or direct embroidery from a list matched to sizes. Names are priced per piece and packed per guard, which adds days and handling. Many programmes order blank name tapes with the bulk and add names locally as new staff join.
